An exciting way to learn
Over the past 24 months, we, like a lot of other business have had to adapt how we work. It hasn't always been easy, but one new exciting addition that we are pleased to be offering is a combined, hybrid system, of learning. Working together with our training venues we have listened and adapted our courses to suit you the customer.
Depending on where you choose to train, you will either need to complete your theory before or on the day of the course, check when you book for full confirmation.
How it works.....
You book & pay for your course via your chosen venue (links to the companies are next to the dates shown on our course pages)
You will receive a confirmation email and receipt from your chosen venue/company.
You will receive from Learning Academy a welcome email (usually within 48hrs of your payment)
You attend your course on the date and venue you have booked.
Important Information:
Some venues will want you to complete your theory before your practical and some will complete on the morning of the class, this means some classes finish earlier than others. Please make sure you read your confirmation at the time of booking & check class times.
You have access to your LMS for 12 months from your practical session. You have the option to extend this access at the end of 12 months for a further subscription fee.

Certification
You will receive an e-certificate of attendance upon successful completion of your course this will be sent immediately, once you have completed your online assessment.
Hard copy certificates are available at an additional cost of £6 this includes delivery via standard Royal Mail 1st class post.
We recommend that you obtain public liability insurance to cover any new services you are going to offer.
It is advised that you contact them before attending a Learning Academy course to confirm that you are eligible to obtain their insurance. Similarly, if you are adding and new certificate to an existing policy you hold then it would be advisable to verify your policy will be unaffected.

Replacement Certificates
If you require a replacement E-Certificate this can be sent electronically FREE of charge (courses since Jan 1st 2016) or a hard copy can be posted at an additional cost.
Certificates for courses taken over 12 months ago will require recovery from an external archive site and my take slightly longer.

Models
Live models will need to be provided for some courses- please refer to each course information sheet for information. Models should not be other trainees within the course. All models must be over the age of 18. Models for technical courses should have a skin test performed at the training venue 24-48 hours prior to the course commencing. Models that do not fit these requirements will not be eligible for use on the training. For all hair styling courses courses tuition heads will be provided for use during training, live models are not permitted.
On the day
Dress code is salon work wear including closed toed shoes. Clothing that will not interfere with the practical aspects of the course is advisable. We also recommend that you make provisions for lunch, please see individual courses for any specific requirements. Late comers will not be accepted on to the course and will be referred on to the next available course at the training venue; likewise early leavers will not be issued with a certificate.
In order to recap your theory with an educator and to access your online portal to get your E-Certificate, please bring 1 x electronic devices (iPad/laptop & smartphone) fully charged with data. We cannot guarantee Wi-Fi access at all venues.
Approvals
You will receive a Certificate upon successful completion of your course. These are sent via email to the email address provided to us on the day of the training. Once you have completed your training it is strongly recommended that you obtain public liability insurance. There are several companies that will insure you against our training.
It is advised that you contact them before attending a Learning Academy course to confirm that you are eligible to obtain their insurance. Similarly, if you are adding a new certificate to an existing policy you hold then it would also be advisable to verify your policy will be unaffected. Terms & Conditions
In the rare unforeseen event of an educator unwell enough to teach or circumstances beyond the control of Learning Academy (i.e severe weather conditions, motorway accidents) on the day of the course a new course date or full refund will be organised for you however in this instance Learning Academy are NOT liable for ANY travel expenses, childcare, potential loss of income or any potential associated costs.
